Last Egg Standing is the Quest assigned after you finish learning the Arborology III Skill.

Do everyone a favor. Harvest the last Egg from an Egg Plant. That way nobody else feels awkward taking the last one.

Reward

40 favor with Mab, 400 iMG, 25 mood, 200 currants

Tips

Last egg in Jamsan Jag.

This is one of the more difficult quests to complete. That's because whenever anyone waters or pets the tree, they basically ensure that it keeps making new eggs to replace any that were harvested. And of course, out in the world, everyone wants to nurture the trees usually. However, one helpful thing is that the age of the tree doesn't matter as long as it only has one egg on it. In other words, a fresh baby tree that only has one or two eggs on it works just as well as an old tree (in fact better; see below).

Three Methods to Complete the Quest

Ms Doofy demonstrates tree-protecting mentioned in #3a
  1. If the player has a home with a dark patch (as in Groddle Heights or any of the firebog/swamp areas) or a friend who has one and is willing to help, this is a piece of cake.
    • If the player already has an egg plant, they can just keep harvesting it every day and not pet or water it until they get it down to the last egg, then harvest it.
    • Even faster would be to poison the tree and plant a new one. The player then waits around for it to sprout (takes about two minutes), and grow its first egg (use Fertilidust Lite to speed the process), then harvest the egg.
  2. The player can kill an Egg Plant out in the game world, replant, and harvest the first egg.
  3. It is common for players who come across an egg tree with only one egg left on them to announce in its location in chat. This is probably the most effective way to complete this quest.
    • Players will occasionally "mark" egg plants for this quest with notes left on the ground next to them, asking players to avoid watering that specific plant so they can complete the quest.

Trivia

In Eleven, this quest is easy, because it's not hard to find a dead egg plant, revive it with Fertilidust, pet and water to make it grow an egg - and then harvest that egg.
