You may be looking for Glitchen, which is about the characters. This page is about the game.

Glitch (archive link) was a free online video game produced by Tiny Speck. It was active from 2009-2012, and when it shut down, many players were bereft and went looking for alternatives.

According to the website's FAQ, Glitch was:
a web-based massively-multiplayer game which takes place inside the minds of eleven peculiarly imaginative Giants.

"The point of the game is whatever you decide it is. There are quests to go on, skills to learn, races to run, puzzles to solve and piggies to nibble. You can specialize as a chef, build your own multinational construction company, or just hang out with your friends. The world is your big, colorful, non-smelly oyster."<ref>Glitch FAQ - What is the aim of the game?</ref> A character was referred to as a Glitch (plural glitchen, a term created by players).

On December 9, 2012, Glitch permanently shut down. The forums and avatars remained active for some months after the game closed, allowing fans to interact with each other and access a small number of game features, such as costumes for their avatars. Several memorial sites remained active, including a small Tumblr fandom, and some fans are discussing developing new games in the spirit of Glitch.

Tribute Sites and Revival Projects

There are two large-scale Glitch revival projects:

  • Children of Ur, which decided to use HTML5 to avoid Glitch's Flash-based problems
  • Eleven, which is trying to re-create Glitch as it was at time of closing before making changes.

In addition, a few other sites have Glitchy resources, the most notable of which is Startling Fecundity, which maintains a Glitch-to-standard calendar converter.
