A key has been set on #glitchwiki, it is ''gstrat''. In mIRC (and likely, most clients) you would use the command '''''/join #glitchwiki gstrat''''' to join. [[User:Johnny|Johnny]] 00:42, 21 January 2011 (MST)

Ok, we do not have a good way of communicating right now. We need to set some standards and start creating templates and populating the pages. I'm creating a Google Group which will allow us to keep email communications. If you do not want to be on this list - do not respond. I don't think you have to do anything to remove yourself from it. Any suggestions? I think that wikis are great - but not the best for communicating in this form. --Bingobar 19:05, 16 January 2011 (MST)

Wait, what's wrong with the Glitch Strategy Wiki group forum [1] we've been using? Not dying to give out my email address [edit: you'll see below that I created a new email account so this isn't an issue for me any longer] - Eglantine

Prefer not to give out my email address as well, but I admit the Glitch groups are a pita to post in sometimes (tip: post in html mode). Vote to remain in the glitch wiki group. -Ping 22:03, 16 January 2011 (MST)

Well, good point about the Glitch groups. Well I've created a forwarding gmail address which I'll put on my user page so that (I think) at least I can read the Google Group even if I don't respond. - Eglantine 22:08, 16 January 2011 (MST)

Good idea, Eglantine. Did the same. -Ping 22:54, 16 January 2011 (MST)

Who's joining this? I will if others we're all going to use it. - Hburger 09:23, 17 January 2011 (MST)

Hburger - I'm not sure anyone has signed up yet since Bingobar hasn't given any information on how to do so. BTW, I just learned yesterday that you can automatically sign your posts on wiki by typing "~" four times in a row into the page :), check it out using the "Show Preview" button - Eglantine 09:02, 17 January 2011 (MST)

Ahhh! I was wondering how you guys did that! Thanks! - Hburger 09:23, 17 January 2011 (MST)

The Glitch encyclopedia has been heavily updated. Now they list more basic information about things (I looked at a spice). Johnny 13:06, 18 January 2011 (MST)

How do I connect to the Google Group? Either is fine with me, I'm @ teletypeturtle@gmail.com. Lelu 15:11, 18 January 2011 (MST)

I personally think that the Google Group would be better, but it seems like most people think differently. Whichever is fine with me! Houdini 11:58, 19 January 2011 (MST)

By the way, if you want easy communication and chat, setting up an IRC channel on irc.lurkmore.com would be fine. There's the #glitch channel already on there but it's open to non-wiki Glitchizens as well. Setting up a #glitchwiki channel would be a good idea. Johnny 15:12, 19 January 2011 (MST)

Oh, Houdini, I'm totally fine with the Google Group now that I have a glitch-only email address... just waiting to get an invitation for it. Johnny, is the existing lurkmore IRC channel the one here: Glitch_Strategy:Community_portal? - Eglantine 17:18, 19 January 2011 (MST)

Eglantine: Oh, OK. And yes, the existing IRC channel is that one. Houdini 10:08, 20 January 2011 (MST)

For all items, under Actions, can a bot put information for 'Drop' and 'Give', so it's uniform across everywhere and saves time...? - Hburger 10:11, 20 January 2011 (MST)

I hadn't noticed that page. It's the same network, though you might want to use a different channel for the wiki stuff and general chat in the #glitch channel with non-wiki people. Johnny 10:52, 20 January 2011 (MST)

A separate #glitchwiki channel would be pretty smart I think, if you know how to create that. Also, as I'm new to IRC myself... can you tell me how to get a history of the chat that I missed while I was offline? Believe it or not, even I go for hours sometimes with my computer turned off! - Eglantine 12:46, 20 January 2011 (MST)

You might be able to get a copy of someone's log. Mine will probably be very broken up so try asking someone else in channel first! Johnny 00:42, 21 January 2011 (MST)

Anyone can apply for membership over at groups.google.com/group/glitch-strategy. I'm adding the people I see here who say "yes". Get in contact with the other little Glitchians you know who may be interested. --Bingobar 15:44, 20 January 2011 (MST)
