Hell is where you go when you die.
- To resurrect, crush hellish grapes that lay on the ground.
- You must crush 11 hellish grapes to return to where you were.
- It is impossible to regenerate energy or mood when you are dead. If a new day passes, you are told "You would have regained energy, but you're dead!", followed by a "You would have regained mood, but you're dead!"
- It is also impossible to drop anything in hell. The drop button is disabled on any item and mousing over it gives the text "You're dead!"
- There is a quest for resurrecting the first time you go to hell. Due to this, when you are resurrected you return with some mood and energy left. Any resurrections after that does not complete any quest, so you are resurrected with 7 energy and 0 mood.
- However, there is an achievement for visiting hell 3, 11, 53, 251 and 1009 times. See achievements.
Trivia
- In Hell, your character turns black and white. The only other level to do this is Rook's Woods.
- You often see players accumulate here because they have left their computer. Over time, your character loses energy if left alone, leading to death.
- In a CNET article ([1]) about the start of Glitch, an original idea for purgatory duty was to feed a goat.

The music in Hell is called Dirge of the Damned and it was composed by (?).
