Actions
Dig
A patch can be dug using a shovel, which will give either 3 lumps of earth or lumps of loam. It takes 10 real-life minutes (one game-hour) for a patch to refill after being dug.
Plant
You can plant beans that have been seasoned with a Bean Seasoner in tended patches to grow a tree.
Tend
A patch can be tended using a hoe. This readies the patch for planting.
