The Rook is "a collective noun referring to the evil, crow-like creatures who exist on the same plane as the Giants and are constantly buzzing at them, dive-bombing, attacking and trying to eat the Giants’ imagination. History
- In September 2010, the Glitch Art Department started designing the visual appearance of The Rook: Glitch Blog. Stewart Butterfield posted a link in the forums to a Rook raven flying animation.
- In August 2010, Alpha testers got a chance to test an early version of a Rook Attack. Here's a video from a tester's experience: YouTube Video Link and opinions about it after this test: alpha.glitch.com/forum/general/984/.
- In November 2010, the new Glitch Alpha Trailer revealed a dark side to Glitch when Rook ravens started attacking the video towards the end.
- In January 2011, a new Quest, Rook's Woods was added, where the player had to navigate over moving blocks in order to find a Rook Egg and destroy it.
