The CrabPod Headphones are temporarily given to you by a Crab when you agree to play a musicblock to him. After he is done listening to the tune, the CrabPod Headphones disappear from your inventory.
It is possible to keep the headphones by dropping them before the Crab finishes listening, however they can't be sold to a vendor, put on an auction, and they don't generate any favor when donated to a shrine, making them useless.
