A vendor is an NPC that sells items. Vendors also give a few quests and sometimes talk to glitchen.

Quests
The following quests are given by vendors:
Retired
Selling items to vendors
Tool Vendors pay you 80% of the item's street price. Helga pays you 50%. Everyone else pays you 70%, except for Sno Cone Vendor, who has no interest in buying anything.
In house
Once, during an end-of-test party, Stoot Barfield temporarily put a gardening vendor in Cupcake's house after someone expressed desire for a gardening tool. Every couple of minutes, the vendor would shout out the name of someone in the house: "Hey {insert name} if you need any gardening tools, I have plenty!"
